Covid-19 Information

Level 5 Childcare Restrictions in place until 1 February 2021

Childcare services are open for vulnerable children and children of essential workers. Essential workers who are eligible to access childcare services include those who are working from home.

Other existing childcare arrangements can continue to operate for vulnerable children and children of essential workers only.

In addition, a household of an essential worker, without an existing childcare arrangement, can form a bubble with another household for the purpose of providing childcare.

A Message to Parents

These very challenging and uncertain times. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on all of us — our day to day lives and on our communities.

Based on the facts from the HSE and government, we know there is a very short and time sensitive window to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and flatten the curve of the infection rate. This priority has resulted in the closure of non-essential services until 1 February 2021, subject to review at that time.

We understand that this has had a significant impact to families. We at Páistí Beaga want to assure you that we are here for you. We are very mindful that these closures may have created some barriers for your child care needs. As we continue to plan for the days and weeks ahead, we will continue to share the facts coming from the government and health authorities as well as any directives we receive about resuming normal operations.

We are committed to working together with families and the community to manage these challenging times. We have revised our policies and procedures to help reduce the transmission of Covid-19 through enhanced cleaning and infection control procedures. We adhere to strict handwashing and social distancing between pods and staff as well as many other changes which are designed to help keep children, staff and families safe and healthy. We will continue to review and update these regularly as the Covid-19 situation evolves. Parents are encouraged to read our Covid-19 Policy and Response Plan for further information.

It is our hope that you and your family are remaining healthy and safe. Our thoughts and good wishes are with those that have been directly impacted by COVID-19 .
